Archery is for anyone and most of those who try it, quickly realise just how enjoyable it is.

Can my 9 year old daughter do it?

Yes she can. Naturally, youngsters are supervised and taught safety rules by experienced archers; if they join a local club. Children as young as 6 or 7 have taken well to the sport.

Can my 60 year old grandfather do archery?

No problem! At the other end of the spectrum, 80 year olds are still shooting competitively.

My husband is disabled and spends his life in a wheelchair... can he take part?

Yes… People with the most severe disabilities and even the blind, using special tactile equipment are able to join in.

What's so great about archery?

It's hard to describe how archery appeals to those who shoot regularly. However, perhaps the best description comes from Zen in the Art of Archery by Eugen Herrigel. In it he says… “Archery is a contest of the archer with himself”. Within this statement lies a clue to the priorities involved.
